Simon Ronnie

Simon is from a small village called Castlethorpe in Buckinghamshire. Proud to say he’s a self-taught artist; In his paintings he tries to depict the world as clearly as he sees it. Simon’s main goal is to be faithfully realistic but remain as painterly as possible. He uses strong chiaroscuro that is dark shadows and bright lights in his work, this comes from his love for the baroque old masters. This brings a dark and dramatic feeling to his work, this allows the main subject in the work to shine. Simon was shortlisted and exhibited as a finalist for Art unlimited international artist 2024 and was featured in the Almanara online exhibition 2024
