Dale Bowen

Dale is a British artist who first used his artistic skills in the Staffordshire pottery industry, firstly at Coalport, and finally at Wedgwood. Since then Dale has been a published artist for the past twenty years, with his various works selling up and down the country.

Dale moved to the southwest some fifteen years ago, first setting up a gallery and studio in Lynton north Devon, and more recently in Shepton Beauchamp in Somerset.

Dale’s latest works see him delving into mixed media, and a more loose and semi abstract style. With coastal and harbour scenes, and landscapes featuring trees. Bold and heavily textured, with muted pastel tones sharply contrasted with black and dark colours, make for an exciting and free painting experience.

Being an artist isn’t a lifestyle choice, it’s in you from a very early age normally, and it’s something that I love very dearly. It’s something that we as artists need to get out, I will always paint.

Says Dale: “ if I won the lottery, my art would be purely for pleasure “
